State of Ads
We are part of State of Ads, and we are proud of it
State of Ads™ is Blowtrumpet’s industry connect programme — research, events and open collaboration on the problems advertising has not solved. Tejaki has been part of it from the ground up, and a good deal of what this platform does exists because of what came out of it.
What it means for creators
Your side of the industry is being studied seriously. Where the money actually goes between an advertiser’s budget and a creator’s bank account. Why so much of that journey is invisible to both ends of it. How contracting practice disadvantages whoever has least leverage. These are research questions at State of Ads, not talking points.
Creator sessions. Working sessions with creators and the people who represent them, on rates, terms, payment practice and leverage — with the creator’s interest treated as a first-order concern rather than a stakeholder to be managed.
Burnout and attention are on the research agenda. Earning should not depend on posting at a volume that costs you your health. What we learn there comes back into how this platform is built.
You are invited into the room. Creators sit alongside advertisers, agencies and researchers at these sessions. That is unusual, and it is deliberate.
Developing right, and marketing with a privacy-first objective
Creators carry the audience, and the audience is what this industry has spent two decades quietly harvesting. Attention has been taken by following people around the internet, collecting what they do, and using it without meaningful consent — and when a platform does that, it is your viewers it is doing it to, on the strength of the trust they gave you.
We do not. Blowtrumpet processes no viewer personal data — not minimised, not anonymised, not collected. Because advertiser creative is composited locally before your stream goes out, there is no ad call: no tag, no pixel, no SDK, no cookie, no device identifier, no viewer-side request. Targeting is contextual by counterparty — whose audience, never which individuals.
Your viewers do not become anybody’s dataset because you worked with us. You should be able to say that to your community, and we think it is the single most valuable thing we can offer a creator who has spent years earning that community’s trust.
We are precise about the other half of it: we are a data fiduciary for *you*, because we cannot pay you lawfully otherwise, and that data is governed by our Privacy Policy under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
This was the harder way to build it. It was also the only way worth building.
